The  Citizens Advisory Board of IVCB has elected Chris Wood as its new Chair

August 3, 2026 | Member Submitted

The Citizens Advisory Board (“CAB”) is a 5-person panel of community members that explores pressing issues in the IVCB community. Recent meetings have featured talks on housing and ADUs, e-bike usage, and wildfire protection and evacuation planning. The next CAB meeting, August 24, will include a presentation by CalNeva about the status of the development of the property, its as-built features, and anticipated community interactions.

The discussions and information generated at regular monthly meetings are shared with County Commissioner Alexis Hill and the Washoe County Community Services Department for keeping the County informed about community concerns. Citizens Advisory Boards are established by Nevada law that authorizes counties to establish CABs “to assist the board of county commissioners with issues of concern in the designated geographical areas.” Citizens Advisory Boards are advisory only.

Chris replaces Roxanna Dunn, who steps down to be Vice Chair after 2 years of exemplary leadership. Chris has previously served as a CAB member since 2021. He has been a full-time Incline Village resident for over a decade.
