Olympic snowboarder Hannah Teter is raising money for her brother Abe to treat a rare, aggressive skin cancer on his face and save his remaining vision.
Abe Teter, a former pro snowboarder, has undergone treatment for the cancer for 19 years but it continues to spread, Hannah said in the GoFundMe. He already lost his left eye, the cancer is now threatening his right eye and it could still spread to his brain.
Hannah said there is a new cutting edge treatment that could save Abe’s right eye, but after nearly two decades of costly medical expenses, he cannot afford to try it and his insurance only covers very little.
