Classes begin Monday, September 14th,  there’s still time to join us this fall!

We’re excited to welcome both new and returning students to the studio for a new year of training at Lake Tahoe Dance Collective, with classes for young dancers through adults at our Tahoe City and Incline Village studios. 


Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time, returning for another year, or looking to add something new to your schedule, we’d love to have you join us this fall.

Classes are available for a range of ages and levels, including adult dancers.

New teachers, new classes! We’re thrilled to welcome Kelsi Ballard and Julie Harlan to the LTDC faculty this fall. Along with their extensive professional performing and teaching experience, they bring new opportunities for our students through the addition of Jazz and Modern Dance classes. These classes are designed to build versatility, musicality, coordination, and confidence while giving dancers the opportunity to explore movement beyond the classical vocabulary. For students pursuing more serious training, experience across multiple dance styles is increasingly important, and we’re excited to expand what we can offer right here in Tahoe.

Kelsi is a native of South Lake Tahoe, where she began her dance training at studios throughout the Lake Tahoe region before continuing her studies with renowned ballet teachers from across the United States. At age 10, she performed in New York City Ballet’s production of The Sleeping Beauty, and as a young teenager was invited to dance principal roles with Oakland Ballet, spending two years performing under Artistic Director Ronn Guidi.​At 17, Kelsi received a scholarship to attend the eight-week summer dance program at California Institute of the Arts. Her professional performing experience includes work with Greg Thompson and Mistinguett aboard the Mississippi riverboats and in Reno, as well as performances under Lynne Barth and with Lucky Rabbit Productions.​Kelsi has taught at numerous studios throughout California and has since returned to her hometown of South Lake Tahoe, where she continues to share her experience and love of dance with the next generation of students.

Julie Parker Harlan, born in Tahoe and raised in Hawaii, has been teaching and performing professionally for more than 25 years. She earned her BFA from Marymount Manhattan College and later an MFA in Dance from UC Irvine, where she studied under Donald McKayle, Jodie Gates, Evelyn Cisneros, and Molly Lynch.​Julie has taught dance at colleges and universities across the country, including UC Irvine, Lamar University, Johns Hopkins University, and Hillsborough College. Her choreography has been presented at colleges and conservatories nationwide, and she served as rehearsal director for Donald McKayle’s Games as part of a National Endowment for the Arts-supported project.

Our Studio CultureAt LTDC, we believe strong training and a supportive environment go hand in hand. We ask dancers to come to class prepared, dressed appropriately, ready to listen, and be respectful of their teachers and classmates. Just as importantly, we work to create a culture where dancers encourage one another, celebrate each other’s progress, and understand that everyone develops at a different pace. We want our studios to be places where students can work seriously, take risks, and grow with confidence while being kind and generous members of the group. Scholarships Are AvailableWe believe every student who wants to dance should have the opportunity to do so. Financial assistance is available for tuition and, when needed, other costs associated with training, including dancewear, pointe shoes, and transportation. No student is turned away because of financial circumstances.Families can apply for assistance through our Maggie Banks Memorial Scholarship Fund, and scholarship requests are accepted throughout the year.
